چکیده
Activated carbon, which is used in many application areas such as gas purification, purification of pollution water and wastewater, removal odor pollution, the defense industry, production protective clothing health sector, was produced from solid products obtained by waste polyethylene terephthalate (wPET) liquefaction that carried out under non-catalytic conditions, reaction time 15-90 min, a temperature 325-425 °C batch reactor. The obtained, after grinding, were made muffle furnace at 400-700°C nitrogen atmosphere for 30 min. contain approximately 60% Carbon (C), 4% Hydrogen (H) 36% Oxygen (O), are composed terephthalic acid (C8H6O4) crystalline form. According to Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) analysis, BET surface area 313.05 m2g-1 average pore diameter 2.71 nm ZnCl2 activated carbons obtained. They have formed largely mesoporous structures. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) it observed medium large porous structures formed. Produced commercial product potential but there need optimize process parameters better results.

Activated carbon is an adsorbent in the separation and purification industries. The adsorption capacity of activated carbon depends on porosity and its surface chemistry. In this review the production of activation carbon from a large number of abundant and low-cost materials and agricultural waste such as Camellia oleifera shell, bamboo, cherry stones, waste tea, and Paulownia flower are discu...
متن کاملSorption of Cu(II), Zn(II) and Ni(II) from aqueous solution using activated carbon prepared from olive stone waste
The performance of olive stone activated carbon (OSAC) for sorption of Cu2+, Zn2+ and Ni2+ ions was investigated via batch technique. OSAC materials were prepared under different physially activation conditions. Olive stone waste was physically activated with N2 gas and steam gas at 900oC at 3.5h hold time (OSAC-3) was choice as the best one for Cu2+, Zn2+ and Ni2+ removal. Characterization for...
